A revived Texas dancehall outside Dripping Springs with live country bands and a proper two-step floor.
Mercer Dancehall is the revival of a Hill Country institution: a proper Texas dancehall a few miles outside downtown Dripping Springs, back in business with live country bands and a dance floor that comes with house rules ("follow the flow of the floor" — counterclockwise, always).
Sundays are the anchor — doors 2 to 7 p.m. with bands playing 3 to 6 — and Saturday-night shows run seasonally. For a bach party or a night-before-the-wedding outing, it delivers the thing no rented party bus can: locals, two-stepping, and a band that knows every Texas standard. Note it's 18-and-up, and leave the dogs at the rental.
On-site cabins make it a destination in its own right for a small crew building a full Hill Country weekend around breweries, wineries, and the dancehall.
