Farm-to-table German bistro in downtown Fredericksburg — seasonal, local, and true to the town's heritage.
Otto's takes Fredericksburg's German heritage seriously enough to cook it fresh: a farm-to-table bistro on East Austin Street where schnitzel and duck share the menu with whatever Hill Country farms delivered that week. It's the restaurant locals send visitors to when they ask for "something Fredericksburg."
The room is intimate by design — parties larger than eight can't be seated, which makes Otto's wrong for the rehearsal dinner but exactly right for the smaller wedding-week moments: the in-laws' first dinner together, the day-before-the-wedding date night, the vendor thank-you meal.
Sunday brunch (11 a.m.–2 p.m.) is the sleeper booking for a wedding weekend — a German-inflected send-off before guests drive back to Austin. Reservations open in advance and are strongly advised; same-day reservations close at 3 p.m., but walk-ins can usually find a patio seat.
