Wimberley · Where to Eat

The Leaning Pear

Hill Country-inspired cafe on River Road — Wimberley's institution for elevated comfort food.

for the wedding weekend

The go-to for wedding-week lunches and Sunday brunch (closed Mon–Tue — plan around it).

The Leaning Pear has been Wimberley's answer to "where should we eat?" for long enough to become an institution: Hill Country-inspired cuisine in a light-filled building on River Road, a few minutes from the square. The cooking is comfort food with intent — seasonal, local, and better than it needs to be in a town this small.

For wedding crews, it covers the middle of the weekend: lunches for the early arrivals (Wednesday through Saturday from 11), low-key family dinners, and a Sunday brunch from 11 to 3 that doubles as the farewell meal for Wimberley weddings.

The one trap: it's closed Monday and Tuesday. If your wedding runs on the increasingly popular Sunday–Monday format, point guests elsewhere for the day after.
